The entire golf trip was tremendous. After finding Scottish Golf Breaks the process was easy and the selection options for golf and accommodation found for me as a single golfer at fairly late notice was top class. While I was blessed by good weather it wouldn’t have mattered as every course I went to and both places I stayed were fantastic. I got to play with a number of really nice players from Scotland, America and South Africa. Fantastic week and great work!

Southerness Golf Club & The Cairndale Hotel, Dumfries
First of all, thanks vey much for another amazingly planned weekend of golf. We loved it. Southerness was a dream. Very difficult but brilliant. The hotel was excellent and the four course dinner was fantastic. We lucked out with the weather, considering the thunder storms earlier in the day. Thanks so much for sorting us out. Each delighted golfers.

Twa big Machs (Machrihanish Championship & Machrihanish Dunes)
The Twa Big Macs are the tastiest meal you will ever have. When blessed with the Scottish sunshine, this is the most beautiful place on Earth with only the skylarks and the waves to disturb the little piece of heaven. The courses are demanding but exciting and fair and would strongly recommend playing more than once, so the shots at sight markers become much less concerning. We were lucky enough to play Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay last year and were told by staff there that they are like Scotland (hence bagpipers at Spanish Bay) and I stood on Mac Dunes looking at the miles of white sand beach and though that yes indeed they are right…this place is every bit as good as those giants in California. I suspect not all of you will have the weather we enjoyed, but that is what creates the challenge, but don’t worry an extra tattie scone at breakfast will sort you out no matter the weather! Enjoy it folks, it is a true delight!

Craigielaw & Kilspndie
We had a great time, thank you. Craigielaw accommodation was excellent, all the staff were very accommodating and Barbara was very welcoming on arrival. The food was great, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choices. The rooms were super with a top notch view! The courses were great, the 4/5 club head on wind on the back 9 of Craigielaw on Saturday afternoon was exhausting, challenging but we still had fun with it. Sunday at Kilspindie was super, lovely course, all the staff there were equally welcoming. Definitely the right way round to play the courses, think we all appreciated Kilspindie being that wee bit shorter. The weather was definitely on our side & the views were grand, We even got to see some seals. Thank you very much for organizing us a great trip.
